Sanigest elaborated a conceptual framework to evaluate the effectiveness of the national health policy in Nicaragua. For evaluating purposes, Sanigest established an indicator system to analyze the health policy components according to the three principal goals of any health system: improving the health status of individuals, protecting individuals from financial risk, and improving client satisfaction.
