Pharmaceutical Pricing Policies in Brazil

Sanigest InternacionalPharmaceutical Pricing Policies in Brazil

Project details

Sanigest was commissioned to examine how interest groups, institutions, and economic impacts affect pharmaceutical pricing policies in Brazil, as well as to determine if the Brazilian government has been accountable to the population, by looking at its drug coverage programs for marginalized groups. As part of the project, Sanigest experts produced a report containing an industrial organization analysis of the Brazilian pharmaceutical market, an assessment of the importance of the pharmaceutical market in the country, a review of existing institutional and legislative structures, and conclusions and policy recommendations.
