The chief objective of the project entailed determining the sources of social spending allocations, as well as the impact of social spending on poverty and other social indicators. In order to accomplish their assignment, the Sanigest team analyzed household surveys and social assistance benefit schemes to measure the efficiency, equity, and quality of social sector spending, as well as investigated social sector financing relating to pensions, health care, education, social assistance, and nutrition. Specifically, Sanigest focused on pinpointing problems with efficiency, equity, and the distribution of welfare benefits.
